South Davis Fifth Graders Lend a Helping Hand in Physical Education

Students at South Davis are putting their gymnastics skills to the test through a Physical Education obstacle course set up by Mr. VanRemmen and Mrs. Spitz. The course is a culmination of their gymnastics unit in Physical Education and helps students develop strength, balance, coordination, and confidence.

Throughout the week, all South Davis students had participated in the obstacle course during their PE classes.  In addition, fifth-grade students were given a special opportunity to assist Pre-K and Kindergarten classes by guiding them through each part of the obstacle course and offering encouragement along the way. This experience helps younger students feel confident and supported while allowing fifth graders to demonstrate leadership, responsibility, and teamwork.
