Pre-K and Kindergarten Bus Rides

The Orchard Park Central School District is inviting incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students and their families to participate in its annual Practice Bus Ride event to help our youngest learners become comfortable riding the school bus before the new school year begins.

The event will be held on Tuesday, July 14, and Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. both days, at the Orchard Park Central School District Offices, 2240 Southwestern Blvd., West Seneca, NY.  Families are welcome to stop by at any time during the event, as buses will run continuously throughout the two-hour period each day.

During the brief practice ride, students will have the opportunity to experience riding a school bus while learning important bus safety procedures from Orchard Park school bus drivers.  Topics will include getting on and off the bus safely, remaining seated while the bus is in motion, and following driver instructions.

This event is open to all incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students who are at least 4 years of age.  Students must be at least 4 years old in order to participate in the practice bus ride. 

The practice bus rides help ease first-day nerves while reinforcing safe transportation habits.
